Life after the Fall has left humanity in an apparent state of perpetual confusion. While there is nothing new under the sun, it often seems that fallen man, with his God-given ingenuity, continues to formulate new and creative ways to deny the realities of nature and of nature’s God. However, though the darkness we as Christians face is sometimes palpable, we are assured that it has not—and that it cannot—overcome the Light of Truth, and we are assured that our Lord has not left us without weapons to conduct what is, foundationally, a spiritual war—a war of ideas. We are engaged in a battle for truth—a battle in which both sides vie for the hearts and minds of the next generation. If ever it was, Christian education is no longer optional.

The Apostle Peter tells us to be prepared to give a defense for the hope that is in us (1 Pt. 3:15), and Paul says we are to “demolish arguments” that stand against the knowledge of God, taking “every thought captive to obey Christ” (2 Cor. 10:4-5). Yet, none of this is possible apart from a firm foundation in how to reason rightly—how to reason rightly through both Nature (General Relation) and Scripture (Special Revelation). For these reasons and more, Veritas is not simply concerned with having children memorize and regurgitate facts. Rather, we’re concerned with instilling in our students a comprehensive Christian worldview (the content) using classical categories of education (the method), because to reason rightly is nothing short of  “thinking God’s thoughts after Him.”

Both I and our staff are excited and honored to come alongside parents as they pursue the education of their children. Soli Deo Gloria.

We would not have been able to successfully homeschool our children without Veritas. The accountability that Veritas provides is so necessary.
